Welcome to our adoption page!
Each of our adoptee gulls is a resident at Bird Aid due to being unfit for release. Bird Aid provides a safe place for these beautiful birds; ensuring they can live a healthy and happy life despite their disabilities. The cost of adopting one of our gulls, or small animals, will go towards the care of your adoptee including food, shelter and safety, and any treatment they may require.
In return for your kindness, we will send you a certificate of your adoption and updates throughout the year, including videos! Please note, we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible and therefore your certificate and adoptee updates will be sent electronically to reduce paper and waste. If you would like a printed copy of your certificate please do contact us when adopting.
*Adoptions run annually.

Prince came to us in June after falling off his roof. At such a young age he has needed medication for a gurgly chest, had his wings taped up, and now he seems to developing further problems as his feathers are falling out. We are not quite sure yet why this is happening but we are trying to eliminate other possibilites to find the reason for it. We are, therefore, not expecting that Prince will be able to return to the wild at the same time as others his age.
To help with his ongoing care until his, hopeful, release, Prince can be sponsored for £5. Sponsorship will last from donation date until release (unless his time at Bird Aid exceeds one year). All sponsors wil receive a certificate of sponsorship, updates on his progress, and (hopefully!) a video of his relelase back to the wild. As with all animal adoptions, funds raised from sponsorship go directly to the adoptee.
Prince was in the news! Find out why here.
